INTERACT researcher won prize in congress
Researcher Lia Dinis won an prize in the International Conference on Agricultural and Biological Science (ICABS 2019) held in Crete, Greece, last August (8 and 9).
The researcher of INTERACT (“Integrative Research in Environment, Agro-Chains and Technology”) won the “2nd Best Paper in the Conference” with the oral communication of the work “Grapevine Ecophysiology and Berry’s Quality: Best Adapted Varieties in Douro Region Terroir”.
Considering the participation as “extremely positive”, Lia Dinis said that the work serves as an alert for climate problems. “I think I managed to draw attention to the problem of climate change effects in viticulture and some measures to mitigate these effects”, the research said, being pleased, not only with the prize but also “for the promotion of what we do at UTAD (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro) to the world”.
ICABS 2019 is a conference organised by the International Society of Engineers and Researchers.
