INTERACT show results in Science & Technology Week
The main indicators of the INTERACT project (“Integrative Research in Environment, Agro-Chains and Technology”) was presented at the conference “Science at UTAD – Struring Projects” last Thursday, November 28th. The meeting was promoted by the Rectory of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) and was included in the Science & Technology Week 2019, organized by the transmontan academy.
“This is a multidisciplinary project”, the coordinator of INTERACT Professor Rui Cortes said. The researcher showed the entire organizational structure of the project, claiming that “about 79 researchers and 66 research fellows were involved throughout the project”. At the end of the presentation, Rui Cortes referred to the “next step”, underlining the “continuation of the research lines” of the project. Bruno Fernandes, research fellow responsible by the INTERACT communication, presented some of the indicators such as publications, communications in congresses and events or the patents already obtained, also highlighting the partners and stakeholders because “it’s with them and for them that we develop innovation”.
In the meeting, moderated by Professor Emídio Gomes, vice-rector of UTAD for Research and Innovation, other structuring projects were also present, such as the already concluded “NanoSTIMA” or “DouroTur” or the “Innovine & Wine” Platform still in progress.
